Licensed Heavy Duty Mechanic
Technicoil Corporation is currently seeking a highly motivated Heavy Duty Mechanic for employment based out of our Red Deer, Alberta office.
The primary responsibilities include:
- Perform preventative maintenance and servicing of all equipment.
- Inspect equipment for proper performance and identify defects and possible malfunctions and determine extent of repair.
- Trouble shoot systems - hydraulics, electrical, and mechanical issues.
- Test repaired equipment for proper performance and ensure that work meets manufacturer specifications.
- Component rebuilds.
- Develop work scopes and schedules for equipment to be repaired.
- Complete reports and fill out work orders as required.
- Demonstrate leadership skills in the daily work interaction.
- Be available for on call duties.
- Be able to travel for field maintenance.
Qualifications, education and experience
- Completion of Heavy Duty Equipment Technicial apprenticeship.
- Heavy construction and/or mining equipment experience preferred.
- Valid safety tickets - H2S, PST and First Aid.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- A creative approach to problem solving; adaptability and flexibility.
- Strong commitment to safety and safe working practices.
- Ability to work alone or as a member of a team.
